BP hits $8.6bn profit record on second quarter. The company generated more than 95% of the revenue from production of oil. But the good news was not enough to hit the roof at the stock marked. The stockmarket is still nervous caused by the situation in Russia where the authorties are showing a more strict line.

The investment company Draper Fisher Jurvetson invest in Nyhedsavisen the danish free daily newpaper. Nyhedsavisen has been owned by the icelandic Baugur Group but they have lost more than 500.000 € a day to keep the newspaper running. The newpaper was founded October 6. 2006 as one of the 5 papers starting in 2006. The real estate market is bleeding and prices has gone down in almost all countries in the western world. The biggest loosers are US and Great Britain. In USA its not only the house prices taht suffers. The contruction companies also suffers. Buidling permits are down more than 35% and new constructions are down more than 30%.
